Our highly trained and certified Geo-physical locators make a small incision (8-12 inches in

circumference) into the surface material using surgical-like skills to ensure that no physical

damage occurs to any underlying utilities.

Soil is removed using our patented extraction process; this loosens the compacted soil and

other materials that are then vacuumed, dust-free into a specially designed sealed container

for later restoration or removal.  Once the utility conflict has been exposed, accurate site

attributes are recorded.

After the crew has completed documenting the utility information, the hole is then back-filled

with native soils or other specified fill as directed by permit.  The fill is power-tamped using

4-inch lifts to provide outstanding compaction results, normally between 92 and 96%!  You

really have to look very closely to even see that we have been there.

Using DOT approved permanent patch, we guarantee our plugs against subsidence for an

unprecedented 3 years!  A surface marker is then set (Cap, PK Nail, Hub, Whisker or Stake)

on center, or offset, that clearly and visually identifies the utility's exact location and direction.
